The US Department of State, under the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, invites expressions of interest for its China programmes. These support policy objectives to protect and promote human rights in China in the following policy areas:
•freedom of information and expression – promote freedom of expression, freedom of the press, or access to information;
•support for civil society, rule of law and labour rights – promote democratic norms and basic human rights in China.
US and foreign-based non-profit and for-profit organisations may apply.
Programme funding is worth between USD 750,000 and USD 1.5 million for one to three years.
