ICSCC visiting scholars programme

The Fudan University invites applications for its ICSCC visiting scholars programme. This supports foreign researchers in pursuing independent research while in residence at Fudan University. The aim of the programme is to advance new approaches to studies on Chinese civilisation and cross-cultural exchange. Visiting scholars are expected to give at least one presentation on individual research topic and lead one workshop in collaboration with Fudan and non-Fudan faculty members and scholars.

Young scholars from outside China who are at the early or middle stages with a focus on Chinese civilisation may apply. Applicants must have received their doctoral degree and hold a faculty position at a recognised university or be a regular member at an established research institution outside of China.

Grants cover travel costs, subsistence, accommodation, and access to the university’s printing facilities and libraries. Up to twelve visiting scholars are invited for periods of one, three or six months. Projects funded under the program are expected to result in publications in Chinese.
