An introduction to education for sustainable development

This workshop is an opportunity for any staff new to or wanting to enhance their understanding of education for sustainable development (ESD) at Liverpool. ESD is relevant to all subject areas including social and economic development focused subjects as well as environmental sustainability-focused subject areas. The workshop will be interactive and aligned to participants interests and educational contexts. Topics covered will include sector and institutional drivers for ESD, key concepts, the UN’s sustainable development goals in learning and teaching, and examples of ESD in-practice. Opportunities for further support to develop ESD in your learning and teaching will be outlined at the end of the workshop.
